After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the tobacco-smoking Penguin in Batman (2022) but failed.

especially since I think he looks like other famous actors and would be good
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but putting a skinny handsome actor on top of him with a huge prosthetic leg and a thick suit never crossed my mind… Also I didn’t really understand why this spin-off was coming, to be honest I’m tired of Batman reboots. But after the first episode I confirm that this series is amazing (so far).
But I didn’t expect to like it this much
I only watched it knowing that the break between the first and second movies is important ratings , and Farrell’s incredible enjoyment of the role from the first film. The acting is fantastic, the writing is fantastic, and it blew me away with its quick twists. The biggest thing I liked was that it has a lot more color than Batman.
I hope this continues because I honestly can’t wait for the next episode
That was my biggest complaint about the movie (it felt like I was watching it through Zack Snyder’s lens) so I watched it immediately.
